Herbol Silatec is a high-end facade paint based on acrylate-reinforced silicone resin, ideal for mineral substrates (plaster, concrete, render, masonry, etc.). Thanks to Acryloxane technology, it combines the advantages of a silicate paint with modern ease of application.
Main features:
- Mineral matte finish for an elegant look
- Highly permeable to water vapor (sd < 0.14 m), ideal for allowing walls to breathe
- Low water absorption (W3), perfect for exposed facades
- High resistance to weathering and chalking
- Protective film against algae and fungi (temporary preventative effect)
- Excellent coverage , even on granular surfaces
Use :
- Suitable for smooth or textured surfaces
- Can be applied with a roller, brush or airless sprayer
- Suitable for use as an intermediate and finishing coat
- Tintable in thousands of colors via the Herbol Color-Service system

Contains 1,2-benzisothiazole-3(2H)-one, CMIT/MIT(3:1) and octhillinone (ISO). May produce an allergic reaction.

Theoretical yield per litre per coat. On a non-absorbent or fine-grained substrate.
Expect lower yields on dry wood, coarse plaster or porous surfaces.
To calculate the surface area of a wall:
Width x Height = surface to be painted .
" Surface area to be painted " divided by the paint yield = quantity of paint needed per coat.
Example for a wall panel:
Width = 4.50m
Height = 2.40m
Paint coverage = 6m²/liter
4.5 x 2.4 = 10.8m² / 6 = 1.8 liters per coat (round up to 2 liters)
Example for woodwork:
3 doors with frames. Allow 2m2 per side.
Paint coverage: 14m²/liter
6 x 2m² = 12m² / 14 = 0.85 liters per coat (rounded to 1 liter)
