natural pigment powder: Lime green

Lime green is a pigment preparation designed by the Société des Ocres de France.
This pigment is synthetic, harmless to health and the environment. It is made from 98% natural ingredients .

Use : whitewash , plaster , wax, paint, plaster, fresco, glaze , cement, fine arts .
This pigment is powder. For use in artistic painting, it should be ground finely in a mortar before mixing it with the binder.

Lime green mixed in linseed oil

Linseed oil: dissolve the powder in a little turpentine before incorporating it into the linseed oil .
Water paint / lime putty: dilute the pigment in a little water to make it liquid before incorporating it into the paint.
Powdered lime / cement / plaster: directly incorporate the pigment (up to 10% in relation to the weight of the binder), then mix so as to tint all of your binder.

Recommended dosage: The maximum dosage is 10% in relation to the binder used. Beyond 10%, it is recommended to incorporate fixatives and adjuvants (use of lime).

Photo above left : the pigment is mixed in badisof plus (ready-to-use limewash, which you can find in our decoration range) at a rate of 5% or 50 g of pigment per kilo of whitewash.
Photo on the right : the pigment is mixed in the badisof plus at 20% pigment, i.e. 200 g per kilo of whitewash.

These renders can be similar for any white base mixed with this pigment. However, differences will be possible for the use of paints more or less loaded with titanium dioxide (white pigment), which will give a more or less clear final color.
If you want to lighten a pigment, before coloring a transparent binder ( linseed oil , wax, acrylic binder , caparol, flour…), you can mix it with tiona white .

Colours : bright bluish green with a transparent binder. Slightly bluish fresh green with a white binder.
