Satin-finish transparent wood protection based on special alkyd resins with UV filter
Use:
For particularly durable protection and decoration of wood and wooden elements outdoors and on the interior sides of windows. As an intermediate and final coating for wooden elements requiring formal and dimensional stability (exterior windows and doors).
•Very high UV resistance and UV absorption capacity
•Brilliant transparency of the glaze film
•High stability during implementation
•High protection against the elements
•Perfectly elastic glaze film
•Easy implementation and very good resistance to blocking
•Perfect humidity regulation
Windows and doors present a particular challenge when it comes to coatings. Thanks to Advanced Filter Technology, Cetol Filter 7 plus offers exceptional weather protection with a perfectly transparent finish. Combined with Cetol HLS plus, this thick-film glaze forms the ideal system for dimensionally stable exterior timber elements, providing significantly higher resistance than conventional glaze systems.
The durability of a glaze coating is determined by the combination and quality of the binders, pigments, and UV filters it contains. For a coating to provide maximum protection to the wood, the high-quality pigments must be perfectly distributed throughout the glaze film.
Often, pigments tend to clump together in the liquid phase of glazes. This creates pigment cavities in the dry glaze film, which significantly limit UV reflection. These rays can then freely penetrate the coating film. Thanks to Advanced Filter Technology and its micronized iron oxide pigments, Cetol Filter 7 plus is characterized by very high UV resistance and absorption, achieving 25 to 30% greater outdoor resistance than conventional glazes. The use of state-of-the-art binders ensures high stability during application and guarantees a perfectly elastic glaze film. The glossy transparency of the glaze film enhances the wood grain. For base coats on bare wood, Cetol HLS plus is used. Cetol Filter 7 plus can be applied directly if the previous coating is intact.
