BRUNOX® epoxy is a rust converter and primer in one product. Patented and recognized worldwide, it is the first system of its kind based on epoxy resin, originally developed in an aerosol can for industry, crafts and demanding users.
Principle of action
BRUNOX® epoxy neutralizes rust by forming an organometallic iron complex. It creates a highly compact, extremely resistant black protective layer that provides long-lasting corrosion protection. Thanks to its epoxy resin content, this same layer also acts as an excellent primer.
Main advantages
- Excellent penetration and creep capabilities (even in hard-to-reach areas)
- Perfect film formation: no brushstrokes, no drips
- No washing required after application
- Excellent compatibility with most finishing systems on the market
- Long-lasting corrosion protection
- Available in brush/roller and aerosol can versions
Areas of application
Wherever rust appears on iron and steel, indoors and outdoors (not suitable for underwater application).
Ideal for:
- Automotive bodywork and commercial vehicles
- Metal constructions and frameworks
- Building and locksmithing
- Marine applications (excluding permanent immersion)
- Renovation and maintenance
Summary of instructions

- Apply BRUNOX® epoxy evenly.
- Allow to harden until the layer is "finger-hard".
- Then apply a compatible topcoat (most 1K and 2K systems are compatible).
Application tips
- Ideal application temperature: 20°C (minimum 10°C)
- Protect the surface from rain, fog, and dew during application and drying.
- Do not use silicone solvents or conventional thinners to clean the surface.
