Air- and oven-curing, corrosion-resistant primer and bonding agent for universal use on heavy and light metals (aluminum, zinc, copper, etc.) indoors and outdoors. Can be used as a bonding agent or as a high-quality rust-inhibiting primer! Base binder: Polyvinyl butyral/condensation resin. Rust-inhibiting pigment: Zinc phosphate (<2.4%) + rust inhibitor.
Properties
Excellent adhesion to difficult substrates such as zinc, aluminum (thanks to its phosphoric acid content), copper, brass, and hard plastics – good corrosion protection, heat resistant (up to approximately 180°C) – very fast drying and spray recoating (nitro-hard) – recoatable with almost all finishing enamels
Areas of application
As a high-quality rust-inhibiting primer for iron and steel (with a finish) with a required layer thickness of 30–40 µm. As a bonding agent (for interior use only) for problematic substrates such as zinc, aluminum, copper, brass, etc. (dry layer thickness 20–25 µm). Suitable substrates: iron, steel, aluminum (except metal facades), zinc, non-ferrous metals, various plastics, etc.
