To protect exterior wood elements from damage such as drying, cracking, and warping, they need protection that allows them to withstand the harshest conditions. This protection can be provided by Cetol HLS plus, a thin-coat glaze that offers excellent weather resistance.
Cetol HLS Plus is a high-performance, thin-coat glaze that offers significantly greater weather resistance than conventional impregnating glazes, resulting in much better durability. This thin-coat glaze is a one-can system suitable for use on substrates with no dimensional stability and those with only limited stability. Cetol HLS Plus is also the ideal primer to apply before Cetol Filter 7 Plus on bare wood. Cetol HLS Plus provides deep protection to the wood while ensuring perfect adhesion between the wood and Cetol Filter 7 Plus.
Cetol HLS Plus penetrates deeply into the substrate, provides excellent moisture regulation, offers superior UV protection, enhances the wood grain, and is easy to apply. This glaze forms virtually no film. Supplied as a single-can system, the risk of blistering is significantly reduced on wood elements with limited or no dimensional stability. The glaze surface decomposes over time under the influence of weathering. Therefore, it can be renewed without extensive preparation work.
