FIRERESIST F004 – Vernis ignifuge intumescent incolore pour bois

FIRERESIST F004 is a single-component, water-based, halogen-free fire-retardant varnish designed to reduce the flammability of wood and its derivatives.

Thanks to its intumescent technology, it forms an expanded insulating layer in the event of a fire, slowing its spread and protecting the underlying structure. Its matte, transparent finish preserves the natural appearance of the wood while providing effective protection.

Indoor or sheltered outdoor application on wood and wood derivatives with a minimum density of 450 kg/m3 and a thickness greater than 21mm.

Fire classification

• B-s1, d0 according to EN 13501-1 (with application of 240 g/m²)
• Significantly reduces flame spread and smoke emission

• Consumption : 240 g/m² (1 coat) or 2 × 120 g/m²

• Substrate : Wood and wood derivatives (density ≥ 450 kg/m³, minimum thickness 21 mm)
• Drying time : Dust-free after approximately 20 minutes – Recoatable after 4 hours
• Application : Brush, roller or spray gun (2-2.5 mm nozzle)
• Application temperature : Above +10 °C

To achieve classification B-s1, d0, it is essential to comply with the minimum consumption of 240 g/m². We recommend carrying out a preliminary test on the substrate in question.
