Thin-layer protective glaze for coating wooden substrates outdoors.

Use: For the protection and finishing of wood and wooden building elements outdoors. On wooden building elements lacking structural and dimensional stability (e.g., timber-framed houses, formwork, half-timbering, pergolas, etc.), application is carried out by applying several coats of Cetol BLX Pro.

On wooden building elements with formal and dimensional stability (e.g., windows and exterior doors), Cetol BL XPro is used as a primer and Cetol BLX PRO Top as an intermediate and finishing coat.

Properties: The product is easy to apply, open-pore, water-repellent, low-odor, and offers good penetration and moisture regulation. To protect the coating film from microorganisms, a preservative has been added to the product; therefore, it should not be used indoors. Note: Exterior windows and doors, including their interior faces, are not considered interior surfaces.

Cetol BLX-Pro is based on a completely new binder technology, solving one of the classic problems of water-based glazes: overly rapid drying leading to visible seams. This innovative thin-coat glaze combines an extended open time with fast through-drying, allowing for perfect results even in adverse weather conditions. And it does so much faster than conventional glazes, enabling the application of up to three coats in a single day.

This express glaze is particularly suitable for coating wood elements with limited stability and no dimensional stability (facades) and, when used with Cetol BLX-Pro Top, for dimensionally stable elements (windows). This cost-effective, thin-coat glaze produces minimal splatter and is very easy to apply. Cetol BL XPro impresses with its excellent penetration and adhesion.
