presto epoxy resin is a two-component, solvent-free, liquid and slightly transparent repair, coating and laminating resin.

Areas of use:

  • for repairing, bonding and coating porous and smooth surfaces
  • as impregnating resin for fiberglass reinforced coatings and molded parts
  • as casting mass for transmissions and other hollow spaces
  • for creating waterproof coatings, e.g. waterproof coatings of gutters, pipes and trays
  • for the creation of particularly firm and light fiberglass molded parts: in combination with fiber reinforcement, suitable for coatings and hoods in the automotive, appliance and model making sectors.
  • all woodworking
  • concrete flooring
  • repair of boats, vehicles and other castings

Application :

  • Precisely dose components A and B (resin and hardener) and mix them carefully (A / B ratio of 60 / 100 in terms of weight). The yellowish mixture is now ready for application.
  • Apply to the surface to be touched up using a brush, roller or spatula.
  • The open time for application is approx. 30 minutes for temperatures between 18 and 25°C.
  • In most cases, the application is carried out in two layers to obtain a sufficient thickness between 300 and 400 µm.
  • The second application can be made within 24 hours as long as the surface remains tacky.
  • Final hardness and resistance to heat and chemicals are obtained after 5 days (at 20°C).
  • Do not return mixed material residues to the packaging!

  • Increased chemical resistance and hardness are achieved after exposure to a temperature of 50°C for more than 24 hours.
  • To bind and create an epoxy mortar, the material is mixed in a 1 to 7 weight ratio (approximately 1 to 3 volume ratio) with quartz sand or quartz powder.
  • For lamination, the amount of resin needed is three times the weight of fiberglass for fiberglass mat use and the weight of fiberglass for fiberglass textile.

Quality and characteristics

  • The resin hardens at the surface exposed to the air without sticking.
  • High resistance, very high adhesion
  • Very water resistant, absorbs little water
  • Reduced shrinkage on hardening
  • Solvent-free, so few harmful odors
  • Resists weak acids, weak bases, inorganic salt solutions, gasoline and petroleum, fats and oils
  • Application also at relatively low temperatures (min. 10°C
